The MJC Library continues its sponsorship of the book-of –the-every-other-month series.  David Grumer will lead a discussion of Daniel Deronda.  Published in1876, this classic novel tells the story of Daniel Deronda, who discovers as an adult that he is Jewish, and not the illegitimate son of a n English nobleman.  George Eliot, the author, was a supporter of Zionism and the Jewish cause and presents sympathetic views of Jews and Judaism, unusual for the time.  In the process, she also satirizes English society.  You will not want to miss this discussion!

 Join us for a bagel breakfast and a peek into the 18^th century.  You do not have to have read the book to participate.
