CALLING All 2nd GENERATION MIDWAY MEMBERS

Are you a descendant of a Holocaust survivor? If so, we are looking for you to help us. We would like to begin a Midway tradition whereby any our of families would adopt a name of a victim of the Holocaust and every year on Yom Hashoah light a memorial candle and recite Kaddish in memory of the deceased. We ask families who have lost family members in the Holocaust to submit a name along with a very short description which includes town the family member is from, profession if applicable, age at which the person died, and in which concentration camp they perished. For example:
Chaim Wolinsky
Born: Warsaw
Businessman
Died: 1942 in Auschwitz
Age: 36
We hope to begin this tradition this year at our Yom Hashoah observance on Sunday, April 11 by lighting a memorial candle for each Holocaust victim whose name was submitted. What a moving and touching way to remember the six million.

Please submit your information via e-mail to: Dmass@mjc.org by Friday, April 2.

Your kids are our kids and we want to stay in touch with them as they journey through college. Wherever your college kids are, Rabbi Rank wants to send them a few messages during the year and a gift now and then. But he can't send anything without a proper address.

Postal regulations require complete addresses including apartment number and zip code. Even if you have already filled out a form in previous years, please fill it out again. Forms can be obtained in the Temple Office.

The kids move and we need to keep current with their new addresses. Graduate school students count, too. Please return the completed form as soon as possible. Let's keep our kids connected with the Jewish community.
