Second reminder

Dear Parents:

The Religious School Administration and the Education Committee have evaluated last years registration process and have worked even  harder to develop what we hope will be a smoothly functioning registration process for the 2010-11 school year.  The process outlined on the attached sheet was designed to accommodate the expressed needs of our parents.  Please read the material carefully as well as all subsequent correspondences you receive via e mail.

Thank you for the input you have provided and your cooperation in the registration process. A third and final reminder will be emailed to you on Friday, March 26th

RELIGIOUS SCHOOL REGISTRATION PROCEDURES 2010-2011

REGISTRATION DATES

In order to register your child(ren) for Religious School for the 2010-2011 academic year, all  financial obligations to the synagogue must be met by Monday, April 19, and you have received you Financial Verification Form in the mail.

 

For those who have met their financial obligations to the synagogue by Monday, April 19, the following procedures will be in place:

·         You may drop off completed registration forms in the synagogue main office during the week of April 19-23, if you are enrolling your child(ren) in a class scheduled to meet  Late Sunday /Wednesday/(Core) Monday. If you register for a Late Sunday/Wednesday/(Core) Monday class during the week of April 19-23, then you do NOT have to come to registration on Sunday, April 25.

·         On Sunday, April 25 between 9:00AM and 1:00PM we will be accepting completed registration forms for children in all grades. Please remember that there is no guarantee that your request for an Early Sunday/Tuesday/(Core) Thursday class can be accommodated. As per the guidelines established by the Education Committee, registration will be restricted to a maximum of 17 students per class for grades 2-7.

 

REGISTRATION PROCESS ON APRIL 25

·         Sunday, April 25th,  9:00AM-1:00PM, parents who met their financial obligations to the synagogue by April 19th, will be expected to bring the following to registration:

1.       A completed Registration Form.

2.       A check for one-half of the tuition, and full payment of fees for books, programs    
              and supplies.

3.       A Financial Verification Form. (See details below)

 

·      Sunday, April 25th 12:00PM-1:00PM, parents who have not met their financial obligations to the synagogue will be expected to bring the following to registration:

1.   A completed Registration Form.

2   A check for one-half of the tuition, and full payment of fees for books, programs
                                and supplies.

3    A check for the remaining balance in their account.

 

FINANCIAL OBLIGATIONS

To obtain a FINANCIAL VERIFICATION FORM and register, all balances due to the synagogue for the 2009-10 fiscal year must be settled prior to noon by Monday, April 19. You may take the opportunity to settle balances with the administrative office anytime between now and 5:00PM of Monday, April 19. As a special accommodation, our administrative office will be open Sunday, April 18, from 9:00AM until 12:00PM specifically for this purpose. When your balance is cleared, you will receive by mail (or in person) a FINANCIAL VERIFICATION FORM which must be brought to registration.

COMMUNICATION PROCESS

January 29, 2010:   Parents will receive this letter outlining the process.
February 26, 2010: Parents will receive a follow-up email registration reminder.
March 26, 2010:      Parents will receive a second follow-up email registration reminder.
April 16, 2010:         Registration material will be emailed. (If you have not received the materials by April16th, please notify the Religious School office.)

A FINAL WORD

Please understand that the congregation budget will not have been approved by the congregation at the time of registration and, therefore, tuition fees may be slightly different than those that appear on registration materials. Any minor adjustments will be reported on your statements after the budget has been passed by the congregation. As usual, after May 15, there will be an additional $50 late registration fee.
