At the pre-Selihot study session, we will be treated to a DVD presentation of The Quarrel, a film adaptation of Chaim Grade’s short story about two Holocaust survivors, one a hasid and the other a secular Jewish poet, who reunite in Montreal after the Holocaust and debate the merits of reason versus faith.

At the service, a special ceremony to dress the Sifrei Torah in their High Holiday white Mantles will take place.
