Thanksgiving Food Drive

Collection begins today – Last day for donations is Sunday, November 23, 2008

As Thanksgiving approaches, we are once again calling upon our Midway Families to share their good fortune with neighbors in need. The homeless and indigent families of the New York Interdisciplinary School (NIS) once again need our help. For the past few years our Midway Families have donated food and turkeys enabling NIS families to enjoy a holiday meal.

Please drop off a minimum of two food items or you may donate $5.

All food donations should be brought to the classroom.

LEAVE YOUR TURKEY AT SHOPRITE!

This year Shoprite in the Plainview Shopping Center has agreed to allow Midway Families to donate their FREE kosher turkeys to the Food Drive. Once you have earned enough points for a turkey, please take your Shoprite Card to the Courtesy Desk and inform the store that you wish to donate your turkey to the Midway Thanksgiving Food Drive. The store will in turn deduct the points from your card and reserve an Empire Kosher Turkey for a family in need. We’ll deliver the turkeys and you don’t have to pay for a thing. Just do your regular food shopping at Shoprite (Plainview Shopping Plaza only) and give a family in need something to be thankful for this Thanksgiving!
