To answer that question, we go to the source, the Bible, and review the exploits of Samuel, Saul, David and Solomon, the kings of Israel and Judah, the ups and downs, the triumphs and tribulations of Jewish sovereignty from the very beginning. ADULT B’NAI MITZVAH CLASS, Tuesdays, 4:15-5:15PM

Looking for basic Judaism from a sophisticated perspective?  You will gain new insight into Holidays, Prayer, and Kashrut.  You may even encounter new concepts of God, Revelation and Afterlife.  The Adult B’nai Mitzvah class will have their B’nai Mitzvah ceremony on Shabbat Minhah, Ma’ariv & Havdalah on May 21, 2021.  Join us each week in the OSR.

JEWISH MEDITATION, Wednesdays, 9:15-10:15 AM

This is the perfect way to de-stress and learn how to regain a sense of calm whenever you need it. And we do it with both verbal and visual mantra taken from 3000 years of Jewish wisdom and learning. DAF SHEVU’I—A-PAGE-WEEK (OF TALMUD), Thursdays, 9:15-10:15 AM

Talmud is an examination of the words of Torah as understood through the eyes of the rabbis. It serves as the foundation for who we are as Jews today. You need not know Hebrew, but be prepared for spirited discussion on a host of contemporary issues. Midway is proud to participate in the Institute for Adult Jewish Studies. Due to the pandemic, the program did not take place in 2020 or 2021, but we hope it will resume in Fall 2022.  We will keep you posted!
