MUSY: Midway USY

Midway's award-winning USY Chapter, MUSY, is part of USY (United Synagogue Youth), the youth group for the Conservative Movement. 

USY empowers Jewish youth to develop friendships, leadership skills, a sense of belonging to the Jewish people, a deep engagement with and love for Israel, and a commitment to inspired Jewish living through meaningful and fun experiences based on the ideology of Conservative Judaism.

USY encourages Jewish teens to get involved in local youth groups. USY also provides experiences throughout the school year (weekend retreats throughout the USA) and in Israel with USY High. USY invites teens to experience summer travel with USY Wheels, exploring cities throughout the USA, and abroad in Europe and Israel. Sign up for more info here.  

Our local USY chapter, MUSY, invites teens in 8th Grade through 12th Grade from Nassau County in Long Island to join together on Sunday evenings (7:30pm-9pm) throughout the school year.

You do not have to be a member of Midway Jewish Center to get involved!* New members are welcome to join any time during the year.

*In order to hold the MUSY President position, you must be a MJC member.

Membership and Events Information

Membership

In order to participate in our youth group events, participants must register for our program. This non-refundable membership fee covers the annual membership to USY National dues, as well as MUSY event materials and snacks.

USY Membership for MJC members: $100 
USY Membership for non-members: $136

*In order to hold a position on the MUSY board, you must be a registered and paid-in-full MUSY member. 

*In order to hold the MUSY President position, you must also be a MJC member.

 

Event dates and times 

MUSY events take place most Sundays* from 7:30pm-9:00pm at Midway Jewish Center. Once you confirm your membership on the Youth Group Registration Form, you will be added to our email listserv and receive updates about events via email.

To encourage teens to get involved in National USY, MUSY will not hold local events on National Convention weekends. Please view the National USY schedule.
