On this most sacred day of the year, we remember loved ones who have passed on and how much we owe them for who we are today.

We welcome everyone in the community,whether members of Midway or not, to come to the synagogue to remember their loved ones on this most sacred day of the year.

This last service of Yom Kippur will afford anyone who so chooses to stand before the Holy Ark and say a personal prayer, alone or together with family,

The Daf Shevu’i class has been meeting for a few years and is wide-open to new members. We do one page of Talmud a week. Sound slow? Only to those who may have never opened a page of Talmud. The page or daf is pretty dense. We are studying Sanhedrin or the laws that governed that great body of scholars who handled the legal cases of the Jewish people through the second Temple period. What were their court procedures, how did they go about executing the condemned, who was eligible for the world-to-come and who was not, etc.? These are fascinating subjects that will undoubtedly inspire much conversation.

Kabbalat Shabbat

We recite the last service of Shabbat (Minhah), the first service of the first day of the week (Ma'ariv), and bid Shabbat farewell with wishes that the learning and energy we gained through Shabbat make the upcoming week productive, creative and fulfilling.
