The Zoom Room
The prophets. Who were they? What were the social realities of the world in which they lived? Why should we care about the messages they delivered so long ago? What, if anything, do they have to tell us today? We will explore these questions over a period of ten weeks on Mondays, after the evening minyan, for about 45 minutes, beginning October 19. The prophets whom we will look into are Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Hoshea, and Joel. Everyone is welcome to participate. Bring your curiosity and some good questions.

ZOOM ROOM
The Daf Shevu’i class has been meeting for a few years and is wide-open to new members. We do one page of Talmud a week. Sound slow? Only to those who may have never opened a page of Talmud. The page or daf is pretty dense. We are studying Avodah Zarah, meaning idolatry, and deals with the issues that keep the Jewish people from falling into the trap of false values, goals and aspirations. These are fascinating ideas that inspire spirited conversation, week after week. Contact Rabbi Rank (rafirank@mjc.org) for further information about joining
